Myanmar (Burma)

Myanmar is a very unique country in South-East Asia. Unlike Vietnam or Thailand, it’s still undiscovered by tourists. This country has beautiful beaches, rain forests and snowy mountains. Myanmar is the birthplace of Buddhism, and the largest number of Buddha statues and pagodas can be found here.

Time and mobile connection

Myanmar’s time difference is 5:30 hours ahead of London. Daylight saving time is not used in Myanmar.

Your home phone company most likely does not have coverage in Myanmar, so you can buy a local SIM card to use in unlocked mobile phones. However, be prepared that the Internet speed in Myanmar is very slow and works in big cities only.
